My husband ate 3 pieces of brocoli at dinner this evening (deep breath). He doesn’t like too many veggies, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, maybe carrots (raw) but definitely not brocoli. Have you ever been in such shock that you couldn’t talk or move. I thought that a body-snatcher kidnapped him but he actually is starting to take interest in his heath. – HALLELUIAH!
Thanks to the evening news and their story about how eating 3/4 cups of brocoli 4 times a week turns on the GSTM-1 gene. That gene makes a protein that’s thought to kill prostate, breast and colon cancer cells. “You get to turn on a gene that helps you kill those cancers with simply something as simple as having broccoli,” said Dr. Roizen.
